We find this oral rinse superior to the various other "healthy" options we have used. We can use a small amount daily and we do see results with the rinse and flossing daily. Taste is refreshing as well. Our favorite is the peppermint flavor.

Therabrite oral rinse is great for whitening your smile and freshening your breath. It doesn't taste like any mouthwash I've ever tried before, probably because It doesn't contain alcohol. It does not make you want to gag too, when you use it, unlike other mouthwashes that come on too strong. It is quite pleasant to use, and most important thing of all, it works. It's very effective in eliminating bad breath.

Tom's of Maine makes good natural alternatives for many common household necessities and is notable particularly for the full line of dentifrices and mouthwash products they sell. Their "Cinnamint" mouthwash is presented as a natural alcohol and saccharine-free competitor to name brand products.

The mouthwash tastes fine, though has a bit of an aromatic "camphor" tinge in my experience, but is nonetheless quite refreshing. I like this product, and would buy it again. The only reason that I generally continue to purchase more common alcohol-based products is because of the more understood anti-gingivitis properties in some other dental rinses and mouthwash products like Listerine.

If you are seeking an alcohol-free mouthwash, Tom's of Maine delivers a winner with their "Cinnamint" flavor. Of the alternative mouthwashes I have tried, this rates among my favorites.

Unlike other mouth washes including LISTERINE Multi Action Whitening Rinse, Clean Mint 32 fl oz (946 ml) the Listerine Pre-Brush Rinse is supposed to be used BEFORE you brush your teeth. I agree that others likely didn't read the directions, causing the problems they reported. I've used this for well over a year, have noticed my teeth have been whiter and I also have my 10 year old son using it twice a day to improve the quality of his brushing. I verified with my son's dentist that it was ok for him to use and the dentist noted my son's teeth were cleaner after he started to use it. I suspect that a part of his improvement is that he's now really scrubbing his teeth to get the flavor out as he's not a fan of the minty flavor, but his teeth are cleaner! It takes some getting used to this rinse as the baking soda/hydrogen peroxide mix will make your brushing far foamer, but my teeth feel cleaner after using it. I've used dental bleaching products before (from my dentist), and it is far easier to use the Listerine pre-brush rinse each day (and I think it's better than Crest's product as well).

About four years ago, I began using Listerine mouthwash on a regular basis, gargling and rinsing with it every night. During those four years, I swore by the product, as I never had any sore throats or illnesses due to oral bacteria.

Just a few months ago, however, I began to develop terrible chapped/cracking lips, sometimes to the point of looking infected and peeling. I couldn't understand what was going on, and thus used Listerine even more, to which the chapped lips only worsened. Only after going on a two-week vacation (on which I forgot to bring my Listerine) did my lips finally start to heal. As soon as I started using the Listerine again, though, the chapped lips came back again. So, after multiple trials and errors, I am now convinced that the Listerine was actually CAUSING the chapped lips, a phenomenon not too uncommon in the dental world.

Now, my guess is that most people's lips are not adversely affected by this product, or it wouldn't be as popular as it is, but I just wanted to give a word of warning to the matter. If you start developing chapped lips sometime after using this product, you may now know what is causing your dilemma.

My dentist recommended this after I had laser periodontal work done.

I've tried two flavors -- orange, and this one Peppermint Twist -- and definitely prefer the peppermint twist. It's actually a combination of cinnamon and mint - very refreshing.

There's no alcohol in this, either. The effects are longer-lasting than other mouthwashes. It's pricier, but I find I use a lot less of this stuff, so it lasts longer than I expected. Also, it's much cheaper than what my dentist charges if I get it from him.

Overall, a good product at a decent price.
